Like all ULTRA series products, this model is based on the latest technology in the True On Line – Double conversion topology (classified as VFI).

 

This topology means that the row electrical input would be rectified all the time and uses the resulting DC to feed the battery charger and the inverter input at the same time. The inverter then would re-create a new, pure and clean, sine wave output to feed the load. In case of power failure the batteries would keep the inverter input fed with DC power, so the output load would not be affected (zero millisecond switching time).

 

This model of Ultra series with 2KVA output power in tower version is ideal for protection of critical servers, telecom equipment, medical applications, medical lab equipment and all other highly sensitive application that require the optimum electrical supply and protection.

The XL charger is positioned inside the UPS (the XL models have no internal batteries) which enable the UPS to be connected to a high capacity external battery bank ensuring several hours of back up time to the connected loads and still be able to effectively recharge those batteries within reasonable time (approx 12 hours depend on the connected batteries capacity).
