For the external batteries, we strongly recommend the usage of deep cycle batteries for durability and reliability. The usage of other battery technologies is possible according to the battery manufacturer recommendations.

The GW IR6000-48 has a user selectable switch to set the charger according to the battery technology (VRLA/AGM, VRLA/GEL, open Lead acid, Closed Lead Calcium, Tubular Lead Acid) and manufacturer’s recommended voltage charging levels.

7 preset programs are available for the user, with a special setting to initiate a De-sulphation cycle which refresh and extend the service life of many batteries types.
